TSA APPROVED BEAUTY PRODUCTS, ON THE FLY

0

Traveling these days can be, well, taxing. With airlines increasingly charging for carry-on luggage and TSA agents forcing you to chuck anything that’s a drop over the approved 3.4-ounces (bye-bye beloved Flowerbomb!), it’s enough to make you want to skip air travel altogether. But if you pack smart—especially when it comes to your beauty items (think: liquid-less options)—you’ll speed through security, still sans shoes, but with your beauty sanity intact.

NEUTROGENA MAKE-UP REMOVER CLEANSING TOWELETTES

Simply put: Wipes are a jetsetter’s best friend. These pre-moistened towelettes not only remove all the crud your face acquires while on the go, but also can act as a refreshing touch-up when you’re feeling harried. Bonus: They come in packets of 7—perfect for a weeklong getaway. (neutrogena.com)

MOROCCANOIL DRY SHAMPOO TRAVEL SIZE

On occasion, a proper shower can be scarce when traveling, so a little dry shampoo “joojing” doesn’t hurt. This formula, available in Light Tones and Dark Tones, absorbs oils and odor, allowing you to stretch time between shampooing—a sometimes necessary evil in unfamiliar locations. (moroccanoil.com)

Classic HD

Never, ever watch the TSA toss your perfume again (note to self). This refillable perfume spray atomises your favorite fragrance into a superfine mist—plus, it’s TSA approved to carry on board. (travalo.com)

DEBORAH LIPPMANN THE STRIPPER TO GO

Another wipe, but this time for nails. What we love: The wipe is shaped like a “finger mitt,” allowing you to remove polish with ease. One packet contains one mitt, and one mitt is all you need for all 10 digits. (6 packets to a box; Amazon.com)

CLARINS SUN CONTROL STICK FOR SUN-SENSITIVE AREAS

When lubing up with SPF, you can ditch the TSA-averse lotion or spray in favor of this travel-friendly solid stick. In addition to SPF 30, it contains skin-softening shea and moisturizing sunflower extract. (nordstorm.com)

SU:M37 MIRACLE ROSE CLEANSING STICK

A drip-free cleanser? Yes: Swiping this antioxidant-rich balm stick onto your face melts away dirt while hydrating skin. Theoretically, you could wash your face in-flight … at your seat … sans water. (sokoglam.com)

ORIBE THE COLLECTION TRAVEL SET

Single-use packets of everything you could possibly need for your hair? Um, yes, please! With six different shampoo and conditioner duos (including the brand’s popular Signature formula) plus a Gold Lust Masque packet, your hair has zero-percent reason to look unruly during your travels. (oribe.com)

P.S.: According to the TSA, you don’t have to toss your expensive creams and sprays at the security checkpoint. Instead, ask if the airport has a shipping kiosk; many do, and you can then ship your beloved item either to your final destination or back home. Or, ask to leave the checkpoint to find a store in the airport that sells refillable travel-size containers, and then transfer your liquid into them. These options may be annoying (and cost money), but there’s nothing as annoying as watching your favorite perfume (Flowerbomb!) find a new home in the bottom of a TSA trashcan.
